Eating Eating is of course one of the
most important things in life. Important in so many ways, it is
survival, living, culture and travelling.
Our local specialties are part of the old
traditions, they are however most representative and deserve a place
on the menues.
The following three local specialties are
always appreciated by visitors:
-
”Sill och Tôlla” – pickled herring grilled over open fire. Served with
boiled potatoes and thin flat unleavened bread.
-
”Kolbullar” – similar to panncakes (water
instead of milk and no eggs!) thicker though and served with bacon
– all fried over open fire.
-
”Misuklimp” – a kind of dumplings boiled
in water ”spiced” with soft whey cheese. Served with butter and soft whey
cheese.
Delicious!
