Summer pastures
If you long for peace and quiet, we
recommend a visit to a living pasture.
This traditional old way of
farming has been preserved in many regions and makes an
excellent place to relax - if you aren´t too fussy about your
morning toilet. There´s no running water here, just a
privy and washbasin

Summer pastures
Vålberget, Öje
Vålberget is a genuine and
beautiful old summer pasture from the 1600. High on the
mountainside with a sweeping view of Lake Öjesjön and the
surrounding countryside. About 7 km from Öje. Traditionally
Midsummer celebrations.
Gammelselen, Malungsfors
A traditional summer pasture, beautifully
situated on the Lake Morellingen. One of the few remaining
summer pastures still in use in the area
Tisjölandet, Lima
A lovely summer pasture on the Lake
Tisjön. The old huts bear witness to an earlier era when this
was a key fishing village. The area around the lake is rich in
